  • Perform diagnostic evaluations, surgical planning, and operative management of peripheral nerve disorders, including complex cases and reconstructive procedures.
  • Participate in clinical research initiatives and scholarly activities to advance peripheral nerve neurosurgery knowledge and practice.
  • Contribute to quality improvement projects and evidence-based practice initiatives within the department and health system.
  • Engage in departmental committees, strategic planning, and professional leadership activities.

Job Description

The Henry Ford Medical Group (HFMG) is seeking a board eligible/certified Neurosurgeon, specializing in peripheral Nerve and Spine Neurosurgery for the busy clinical practices at Henry Ford Hospital in Southeast MI. ****This opportunity is ideal for a Neurosurgeon who has an interest in building and continuing to grow the tertiary and quaternary care practice. ****This provider will report to the chair of Neurosurgery.

Opportunity:
  • Level I trauma center with high-acuity patient population and complex surgical cases
  • Resident and medical student teaching is a core part of this position, including direct mentorship and curriculum development
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including neurologists, neurointerventional radiologists, orthopedic surgeons, plastic surgeons, and other specialists to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care
  • Offers a tenure-track academic appointment for those who qualify, through Michigan State University - College of Human Medicine and Wayne State School of Medicine
