Job summary

Straub Benioff Medical Center in Honolulu seeks a Perioperative Technician Aide to support operating room staff during surgery and recovery.

You will assist with room preparation, perioperative transport and peri/postoperative moving of patients, using compassionate, professional patient care.

Founded in 1921, Straub Benioff Medical Center includes a 159-bed hospital in Honolulu, a network of neighborhood clinics and a visiting specialist program that reaches throughout the state of Hawai’i. Our Perioperative Services department provides full support throughout the duration of a patient’s surgical procedure, spanning ward admission, anesthesia, surgery and recovery. Professional care services include identification of the patient’s individual needs, patient care plan development and implementation and the coordination of nursing service to restore each patient’s health before, during and after a surgical procedure.

You can join our state-of-the-art Perioperative Services department and help to provide life-changing surgery services to patients at Straub. As the Perioperative Technician Aide, you will assist operating room staff with operating suite preparation and peri/post operative moving and positioning of patients. Minimum Qualifications:

• High School or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications: One (1) year transporter, instrument technician, or related health care experience.
