Job summary

Veracity Ventures Inc. in Mission Viejo, CA, seeks an experienced Director, Perioperative Services to provide strategic, clinical, and operational leadership across perioperative services, including operating room operations and related patient care departments.

Reporting to the CNO, this role will oversee 24-hour departmental operations, manage budgets, develop nursing leaders, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive quality improvement and patient safety across the service line.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing or equivalent with leadership training.
• Active California RN license required on hire.
• 10+ years nursing experience.
• 3+ years nursing leadership/administration experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee perioperative services, including operating room operations and related clinical departments.
• Develop and implement operational strategies, business plans, and service-line objectives.
• Manage labor, operating, and capital budgets while optimizing staffing and resource allocation.
• Lead, mentor, and develop perioperative managers and clinical teams.
• Promote employee engagement, recruitment, and retention.
• Collaborate with the CNO, physicians, medical directors, and interdisciplinary teams to establish and achieve clinical and operational goals.
• Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety, clinical outcomes, and operational efficiency.
• Monitor performance metrics, identify improvement opportunities, and implement evidence-based practices.
• Ensure compliance with Joint Commission (JCAHO), California Title 22, nursing standards, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
• Establish and maintain effective policies, procedures, clinical competencies, and staff performance evaluations.
• Improve patient experience and customer satisfaction across assigned departments.
• Support ethical nursing practice, patient advocacy, and a collaborative professional environment.
