Job summary

UPMC East in Monroeville, PA seeks a dedicated registered nurse for the Perianesthesia department (Pre-Op and Post-Op). The role is full-time with 3, 12-hour daylight shifts, Monday–Friday, plus on-call responsibilities and flexible self-scheduling for weekday shifts.

A sign-on bonus up to $15,000 is available for 1+ year of experience. Experience in pre/post operative settings, ICU, ED, or Stepdown is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in PA or a state with licensure compacts.
• CPR required; ACLS within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains productive working relationships with patients and colleagues.
• Provides teaching to patients and families to guide care during episodes and transitions.
• Applies the nursing process within Relationship Based Care to plan and optimize patient care.
• Participates in unit quality improvement and governance to enhance care quality.
• Communicates safety hazards and supports a collaborative care environment.
