Job summary

Cleveland Clinic's Gynecology/Urology Operating Room on the Main Campus seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to support surgical patients from preoperative through recovery, delivering compassionate, evidence-based care in a fast-paced operative setting.

You will scrub and circulate, assist surgeons, and maintain OR readiness while adhering to safety standards. A BSN is preferred; ADN/BSN eligible applicants with RN licensure and BLS/ACLS will be considered.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN)
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire
• BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross
• One year RN experience or completion of perioperative residency program

Responsibilities

• Deliver professional nursing care in an operative setting to adult and pediatric patients undergoing surgical or other invasive procedures.
• Perform scrub functions, such as selecting and handling instruments and supplies.
• Perform circulating functions, such as monitoring, recording and communicating patient condition and managing the overall nursing care of patients before, during and after the procedure.
• Assist the operating physician with surgical tasks, such as hemostasis, suturing, wound exposure and patient positioning.
• Prepare the Operating Room, surgical instruments and surgical equipment for use
