Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• PALS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year previous Perioperative experience or on the job training
• Certified Nurse OR (CNOR) Certification (AORN) preferred
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care in the peri-operative setting using the nursing process.
• Coordinate care with the surgeon and anesthesiologist, guiding OR staff.
• Maintain standards of professional nursing and adherence to policies and procedures.
• Participate in Performance Improvement activities and unit meetings.
• Acts as a resource for other personnel as appropriate.
