Job summary

UAB Medicine in Birmingham, AL, seeks an RN to join its Perioperative Services, a large, dynamic surgical department with over 60 operating suites and more than 41,000 surgeries annually.

You will collaborate with world-class surgeons and an interdisciplinary team to deliver expert patient care before, during, and after surgery, with opportunities for growth and a comprehensive benefits package. This is a full-time role with AM/PM shifts and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing program required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• Current RN license or eligibility in Alabama required. BLS certification required; ACLS and/or PALS may be required depending on unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care using the nursing process before, during, and after surgery.
• Collaborate with surgeons and interdisciplinary care team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
• Deliver skilled patient education and advocacy throughout the operative period.
