Job summary

The University of Virginia is seeking a qualified registered nurse for perioperative care through NurseMatch Periop. You will work within an interdisciplinary team to manage care and implement treatment plans for a diverse patient population, while mentoring others and advancing clinical practice.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, a BSN within five years, at least one year of relevant nursing experience, Virginia RN licensure, and AHA BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required within 5 years of hire.
• 1 year of relevant nursing experience or 1 year of perioperative exposure preferred.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in Virginia; BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct perioperative care as part of the interdisciplinary team.
• Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and other care providers to plan and implement treatment.
• Demonstrate leadership and mentorship as you grow in perioperative nursing.
