Job summary

Rush Oak Park Hospital is seeking an RN Staff Nurse for the Operating Room in Oak Park, IL. The position is a restricted part-time role (FTE < 0.5) with a 10-hour shift pattern (7:00 AM–5:00 PM).

The RN will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care, collaborating with the team to ensure patient safety and quality care. Requires OR experience, strong communication, and flexibility to cover shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing required; must complete degree within 5 years of hire.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or higher preferred.
• Current Illinois registered nurse license and CPR certification.
• ACLS for ED/ICU/Tele/PACU required.
• Must have strong communication and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and ongoing assessment for assigned patients.
• Plan and implement care with prioritization and clinical judgement.
• Respond to patient needs quickly and coordinate with the care team.
