Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Tomball is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Day Surgery Pre-Op team on a PRN basis. You will provide safe perioperative care from pre- to post-operative phases and help maintain efficient flow in the Same Day Surgery Unit.

Ideal candidates hold a Texas RN license, BSN preferred, and have 2 years of medical-surgical experience with ASEP/BLS/ACLS/PLS certifications. This role supports flexible PRN scheduling and on-site work at Tomball, TX.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, BSN preferred.
• Current licensure in Texas as a Registered Nurse required.
• 2 years medical surgical experience, with preference for post anesthesia care experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and certification required.
• Advanced Life Support (ACLS) and certification required.
• Pediatric Life Support (PLS or PCLS) and certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and effective perioperative care in pre- and post-operative phases.
• Support efficient management of patients in the Same Day Surgery Unit.
• Perform pre-operative, pre-procedure assessments prior to planned interventions.
• Plan and coordinate nursing care according to individual patient needs.
