Job summary

USPI St Joesphs Outpatient Surgery Center seeks a PRN RN OR Circulator to assess and manage perioperative care. The role involves planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care in the operating room, coordinating with physicians and the care team, and supporting quality improvement initiatives.

The RN will ensure patient safety, administer medications appropriately, and advocate for patient rights and privacy while maintaining professional nursing standards.

Qualifications

• Assess patients at intervals as stated in policies and procedures.
• Develop an individualized perioperative plan of care.
• Administer medication(s) appropriately.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients at intervals as stated in policies and procedures.
• Develop an individualized perioperative plan of care.
• Implement the plan of care using the following interventions: Protect patient from injury caused by chemical, electrical, laser, positioning, thermal sources, and extraneous objects.
• Perform count procedures to protect patient from unintended retained foreign objects.
• Communicate patient’s current status throughout the continuum of care.
