Job summary

MLK Community Hospital in South Los Angeles is seeking a full-time RN Circulator Nurse to provide safe, evidence-based perioperative care in a busy OR. You will perform pre-op assessments, support circulating duties intraoperatively, and collaborate with surgeons and anesthesia teams.

You will maintain sterile technique, document in EMR accurately, and ensure clear post-op handoffs while supporting a culture of equity, compassion, and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Active California RN license
• BLS/ACLS certification
• 1+ year perioperative experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-op assessments and plan perioperative care
• Perform circulating duties intraoperatively and support surgeons/anesthesia
• Maintain sterile field and safe environment throughout procedures
• Document accurately in the EMR and communicate post-op handoffs
• Mentor newer staff and participate in quality and safety initiatives
• Uphold equity, compassion, and accountability in patient interactions
