Qualifications

• RN licensure in Rhode Island by the RI Board of Nursing.
• Completion of an accredited nursing program.
• Thorough knowledge of operating room nursing and patient care.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the Surgical Services Manager and Service Line Coordinators for surgeon availability, patient acuity, and planning methods for the area of responsibility.
• Promote the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
• Manage human and operational resources efficiently and fiscally during the tour of duty.
• Demonstrate effective communication and collaboration with the perioperative team and other stakeholders.
• Serve as a clinical resource for perioperative personnel using current guidelines, policies, procedures and standards.
• Coordinate, facilitate and manage change within the surgical area.
• Participate in planning perioperative patient care as a multidisciplinary team.
