Job summary

Fisher-Titus Medical Center in Ohio seeks an experienced RN to manage preoperative nursing care using the nursing process and primary nursing principles.

The role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, current Ohio RN licensure, and ACLS, CPR, and PALS certification. The RN will document care, assist with surgical cases, and participate in Time Out and Sign Out procedures as part of the surgical team.

Qualifications

• Associates or better in Nursing.
• Certification ACLS, CPR and PALS.
• Registered Nurse in Ohio.

Responsibilities

• Provide preoperative nursing care using the nursing process and primary nursing principles.
• Document nursing care accurately to inform the healthcare team.
• Assess patients across pediatric to geriatric populations and coordinate with the surgical team.
• Maintain sterile technique and assist with surgical instrumentation.
• Participate in Time Out and Sign Out per departmental policy.
• Assist with OR turnover and restocking of supplies.
• Administer and record medications and understand common medications.
• Communicate handoffs at transition of care and ensure patient safety.
