Job summary

Provident Behavioral Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide high-quality pre- and post-operative care in a tertiary, teaching environment. You will assess patients, manage medications, and care for wounds and drains while ensuring continuity of care.

You will collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary teams to apply evidence-based practices and educate patients and families for better recovery outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure is required.
• Strong clinical assessment and perioperative nursing knowledge.
• Safe medication administration and IV management.
• Competent wound and drain care.
• Effective communication with patients and families; ability to educate.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality pre- and post-operative nursing care for diverse surgical patients.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and manage medications and IV therapy.
• Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary teams to support evidence-based practices.
• Deliver patient and family education to promote understanding and recovery.
