Job summary

CHS Career Site is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide patient-centered care using the nursing process, coordinate care with physicians and teams, and uphold clinical protocols.

The role includes administering medications, performing assessments, educating patients, responding to emergencies, and ensuring infection control and documentation; a compassionate environment is fostered for patients and families in Indiana.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting.
• Active RN license in Indiana or a compact state.
• BCLS certification required; ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred.
• Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with nursing process and policies.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and document findings accurately; report changes to the care team.
• Administer prescribed medications; monitor for side effects and document administration.
• Assist physicians during procedures within documented competency and scope.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans based on patient needs.
• Respond to medical emergencies and participate in life-saving interventions as appropriate.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatment plans, and discharge care.
• Maintain infection control protocols and safe environment; monitor equipment as needed.
