Job summary

The Registered Nurse II in the Perioperative Float Team at MUSC Health reports to the Nurse Manager. Under general supervision, the RN II provides individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and patients, using the nursing process to deliver safe and effective care and collaborating with the health care team.

This PRN, hourly position requires SC licensure or a compact-state license, BLS certification, and at least one year of RN experience.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required by SC Board or compact state.
• BLS certification required.
• BSN preferred; BSN progression required if ADN/Diploma holder.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized, goal-directed patient care using the nursing process.
• Deliver safe and effective care and collaborate with the health care team.
• Support perioperative float pool operations under nurse manager supervision.
