Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking an Environmental Services Associate to maintain cleanliness and infection control across the Perioperative Services areas. This full-time evening shift supports 32 ORs and related units, delivering patient-ready environments and safe care through meticulous cleaning and turnover.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, follow PPE and isolation protocols, and help ensure equipment cleanliness, waste disposal, and supply replenishment.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of environmental services experience preferred.
• Ability to follow Infection Control policies and PPE guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Maintains environmental sanitation across perioperative areas and supports OR turnover.
• Cleans and disinfects OR surfaces, equipment and rooms to ensure readiness for surgery.
• Transports patient belongings and manages waste and linen according to policy.
• Replenishes supplies, maintains floor stock, and adheres to safety protocols.
