Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System in Kansas City is seeking a Health Care Tech I for the Olathe Medical Pavilion to support perioperative and procedural services during day shifts.

You will perform basic nursing tasks, monitor patients, document I&O, and assist with patient transport and room turnover, under RN supervision. A high school diploma and basic healthcare skills are required, with acute care exposure preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience with basic nursing tasks preferred.
• Familiarity with hospital procedures is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assists with ADLs and basic care tasks.
• Performs finger-stick glucose and other routine monitoring.
• Assists with 12-lead EKGs and blood pressure checks.
• Documents I&O and patient data in the chart.
• Transports patients and supports room turnover.
• Maintains clean patient rooms and safety precautions.
