Job summary

Banner Health's University Medical Center in Phoenix seeks an Administrative Assistant for Perioperative and Cardiac services. You will manage calendars, handle clerical tasks, and support leaders across multiple service lines.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required with strong clerical experience.
  • Ability to manage calendars and schedule meetings for leadership.
  • Proficiency in standard office software for document creation and data handling.

Responsibilities

  • Process correspondence and reports, editing as needed for grammar and accuracy.
  • Prepare and distribute reports, support department projects and tasks.
  • Screen callers and visitors, directing to appropriate parties with information.
  • Perform confidential administrative tasks and minutes distribution.
  • Coordinate supervisor’s calendar, meetings, and travel arrangements as needed.
  • Open and screen mail, respond to routine inquiries, delegate as appropriate.
  • Provide confidential support to department staff and maintain discretion.
  • Manage supply inventories and ordering of needed items.
  • Interact with staff, physicians, patients, and visitors regularly.
