Job summary

Virtua Health in Voorhees, NJ seeks a Transport Aide to provide basic care services including patient, specimen, and equipment transport, and assist with room cleaning and environment of care maintenance.

This on-site role supports the Perioperative Services by helping with OR turnover and equipment handling, under supervision of the Product Coordinator.

Requires a high school diploma or GED and BLS certification; prior healthcare exposure preferred; full-time hours, 1st shift, 40 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Previous healthcare experience/skills preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
• BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic care services including patient, specimen, and equipment transport along with room cleaning, environment of care maintenance, fluid and linen management.
• Assist Product Coordinator with unpacking and restocking of supplies.
• Prioritizes OR suite cleaning for room turnover and cleans common areas within the perioperative area using prescribed procedures.
• Transports and handles essential equipment per policies and procedures.
• Assists in transferring, transporting and positioning of patients while using correct body mechanics.
• Stocks shelves in compliance with par levels, stocks linen and fluids.
• Maintains environment of care including scrub sinks, clutter free hallways, etc.
