The University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to manage day-to-day operations of the unit and coordinate planned procedures for the day.

This role requires an active RN license, ability to lift heavy loads, and availability to work 40 hours per week, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with some weekends and holidays.

Strong teamwork, time management and clear communication are essential as you schedule staff, collaborate with surgeons, and ensure safe, timely patient care.

Physical Requirements

The essential functions for this position include the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 50-100 pounds occasionally and 25-50 pounds frequently; as well as stand, walk and sit for long periods of time.

Shift

Must be able to work 40 hours per week, 7a-330p , will also be required to work some weekend and holidays.

Job Summary

This position has responsibility for day to day operations of running the unit and facilitating the procedures/cases planned for the day. Facilitating the patient schedule includes assigning staffing, working with the surgeons/proceduralists and boardrunner to coordinate timely, safe care. Time management, attention to detail and collaborative, respectful communication are key skills required for the role.
