Job summary

Everett Modern Dentistry is seeking a Dental Assistant to support clinicians in delivering the Perfect Patient Experience. You will prepare patients, assist dentists, take radiographs, and maintain sterile operatory environments across offices.

Responsibilities include charting, assisting with procedures, and coordinating with front/back office teams to ensure smooth scheduling. Valid state credentials and travel between offices are required.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to high school diploma or GED, and specified training courses as mandated by state for certification, licensure, or registration.
• Certificates/Licenses/Registrations: As mandated by applicable state.
• Specialty Dental Assistants must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance. Driver’s license must be verified by background check.
• Specialty Dental Assistants are required to travel to multiple offices per day, sometimes several times per day.
• Preferred: One-year certificate from accredited college or technical school; or equivalent education/experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform functions per state Dental Auxiliaries Table of Permitted Duties.
• Actively participate in the PPE by assisting patients and addressing concerns.
• Escort patients to front desk and introduce them to team members.
• Communicate with front and back office to ensure the Orthodontists schedule runs smoothly.
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments; prepare operatory per infection control guidelines.
• Prepare patients for treatment and assist the dentist to provide efficient care.
• Take radiographs and intra-oral pictures as directed.
• Prepare tray setups and maintain supply levels in each operatory.
• Keep mouths dry and clear using suction; educate patients on oral care.
• Record patient charting in the digital chart; present records to clinician.
• Ensure equipment is maintained per manufacturers’ guidelines.
• Collaborate with Lead Dental Assistant to ensure supplies are on hand.
• Participate in daily huddles and team meetings.
