Job summary

Berger Health System in Columbus, OH seeks an OB/GYN ultrasound technologist to perform routine and targeted sonograms, including fetal echocardiograms and CW Doppler imaging. Under supervision, you will assist with Level II and transvaginal studies, and participate in resident teaching. Minimum qualifications include ARDMS certification; OB/GYN specialization preferred and within 1 year of hire.

Two years of OB/GYN ultrasound experience is ideal. Day shift.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform routine OB/GYN and transvaginal ultrasound studies and Doppler imaging.
• Assist in Level II exams and perinatologist reviews of studies and reports.
• Support resident teaching in ultrasound and related procedures.
• Enter obstetrical ultrasound data accurately into the system.
• Maintain and oversee the ultrasound equipment on L&D.
• Adhere to safety, quality and efficiency standards as an HRO.

Job Description Summary: Provision of patient care through OB/GYN ultrasound and Doppler Imaging. Under general supervision, performs routine and targeted sonograms, fetal echocardiograms and CW Doppler imaging studies. Assists in the performance of Level II and transvaginal sonographic studies and fetal/maternal diagnostic procedures.

Responsibilities And Duties:

• 50% Performs routine OB/GYN sonograms includes Level I, II, BPP, Transvaginal l and reviews studies and reports with Perinatologist.
• 20% Assist physician in fetal/maternal diagnostic procedures.
• 10% Assists in resident teaching in ultrasound.
• 5% Data entry of obstetrical ultrasound reports.
• 5% Performs Doppler Imaging and fetal echocardiograms.
• 5% Organizes activities to assure conformity to established policies and procedures and standards of quality care.
• 5% Maintain and oversee satellite ultrasound machine on L&D.

Additional Job Description: SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE ARDMS registry- OB/ GYN preferred. Must receive OB/GYN ARDMS certification within 1 year of hire. Ideal candidate has two years' experience in OB/GYN ultrasonography, PW Doppler Imaging, and fetal echocardiography.
