Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Perinatal Surgical Technologist to support maternal-newborn services. The role involves assisting with intra-operative care, sterile technique, and multi-skilled nursing tasks in labor and delivery.
The ideal candidate has graduate-level Surgical Technology training, CST certification, and BLS. Prior surgery and CNA-type experience are preferred to ensure patient safety and efficient OR operations.

Job Description:
Assists with the delivery of patient care utilizing knowledge of asepsis and intra-operative management. In addition to patient care duties, performs a variety of stocking, supply, and housekeeping functions necessary for the operation of the nursing units. The primary responsibility will be focused on performing a variety of technical, therapeutic, administrative tasks and procedures for which they have been trained. Responsibilities include maintenance of equipment and supplies throughout the labor and delivery unit. The Perinatal Surgical Technologist must demonstrate the ability and willingness to participate in Patient Care Team as a multi-skilled caregiver in all areas of Maternal Newborn Services. Is responsible for quality of own work and must remain flexible in response to change. Performs all other duties as assigned.
Essential Role Responsibilities
Under the direction of the RN, performs basic operating room skills.
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
Graduate of an accreditedschool of Surgical Technology. Previous surgery experience preferred. CNA preferred or equivalent experience:multi-skilledCNA Training, EKG, Phlebotomy, Simple Respiratory & Rehabilitative functions.
Certification/License:
High School Graduate or Equivalent.

Pay Range:
$33.50 - $49.78
The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geographyof work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
