About the position
  • Serve as the Lead Sonographer, ensuring diagnostic ultrasound examinations are completed according to established protocols.
  • Act as a subject expert in maternal fetal ultrasound and assist other sonographers as needed.
  • Manage daily operations and workflow of the department, including scheduling, overbooking, and staff coordination.
  • Contribute to work organization, quality improvement projects, and staff scheduling.
  • Train staff and monitor adherence to imaging protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Assist with staff meetings, hiring, evaluations, and other projects.
  • Participate in clinical training and supervise ultrasound student rotations.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) in OB/GYN.
  • RDMS or RDCS in Fetal Echocardiography.
  • BART or BLS certification at hire, with commitment to obtain BART within 6 months.
  • At least 5 years of recent experience in maternal fetal medicine ultrasound.
  • Thorough knowledge of ultrasound principles, maternal-fetal assessment, and fetal anatomy.
  • Experience performing 12-14 week detailed anatomy scans per AIUM guidelines.
  • Commitment to ongoing education in MFM ultrasound, with at least 20 CMEs every 36 months.
  • Effective communication skills and intermediate computer skills.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance, sterile techniques, and infection control.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous lead sonographer experience in maternal-fetal medicine.
  • Nuchal Translucency Quality Review (NTQR) Certification or equivalent.
Additional Conditions
  • Ability to work various hours and locations as needed.
  • Background check and pre-employment physical required.

Salary Range: $155,326 - $171,446 annually, prorated if less than full-time.
