Job summary

Qualifications

• New nurses must attend orientation within 30 days of hire.
• Precepted by experienced staff during onboarding.
• Completion of annual competency verification requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation.
• Delivers routine and complex care and delegates appropriately to team members.
• Addresses psychological, emotional and social needs of patients and families.
• Administers medications using established protocols and monitors effects.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, meds, and care provided.
• Educates patients and families about learning needs and resources.
