Job summary

Antelope Valley Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Training and Skills Development Coordinator to lead onboarding, clinical education, and competency development for perianesthesia nursing staff. You will partner with nursing leadership to ensure documentation, regulatory training compliance, and staff development.

Qualifications

• BSN required; MSN preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of acute care perianesthesia nursing.
• 2 years as nurse educator; 2 years in leadership preferred.
• Experience developing, tracking, and reporting educational programs.
• Proficiency with electronic learning systems and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Direct onboarding and accelerated onboarding track for perianesthesia staff.
• Develop and sustain a pipeline of perianesthesia personnel with HR/education partners.
• Design and oversee competency-based training programs meeting regulatory requirements.
• Plan mandatory annual skills fairs, in-services, and continuing education.
• Manage budgeting and resources for education initiatives.
• Track certifications, trainings, and compliance; ensure audit readiness.
• Lead performance evaluations, onboarding, and corrective actions in education.
• Provide leadership during high-risk procedures and new technology deployments.
