Henry Ford Health in Detroit area seeks a POA Intra-operative and Pre/post-operative assistant to support OR services, patient transport, and room sterilization. You will help prepare and clean the OR, position patients, and assist the health care team to ensure safety.
Under RN supervision, you will respond to emergencies, support post-anesthesia care, and participate in ongoing education. Schedule is full-time, afternoon shift, 36 hours weekly. High school diploma or GED required.

POA Intra-operative:
Under general supervision and following established policies and procedures, provides service support for assigned Operating Room (O.R.) area(s) related to services, patient transport, preparation and cleaning of the operating room, cleaning, disinfecting and sterilization of equipment, and patient preparation. Assists O.R. personnel in the positioning and maintenance of patient safety.
POA Pre/post-operative:
Under general supervision of the registered nurse, will assist the health care team with specific patient care duties to meet safety and comfort needs of the patient. Responds to emergent situations according to established procedures. Provides service support for assigned area(s) related to building services, patient transport and patient preparation. Recognizes and participates in own continuing education. Reports to the Supervisor/Manager/Director.

*One weekend day per month, 1 holiday a year
