DDN is seeking a Performance QE Engineer to drive performance testing for a distributed storage platform supporting S3 object storage, POSIX file systems, and block-level protocols. You will write Ansible playbooks, manage cluster setup, and orchestrate I/O workloads with Celery.

You will also develop Python scripts to parse results, maintain the PostgreSQL results schema, and tune Grafana dashboards while collaborating with developers to assess fixes and their impact on performance.

Qualificações

• Proficient in Python scripting for parsing results and metrics.
• Experience with Ansible for cluster setup and configuration.
• Basics of PostgreSQL and SQL for results validation.
• Strong Linux fundamentals: filesystems, networking, processes.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and workflows (GitHub Actions).
• Willingness to learn benchmarking tools (FIO/IOR/mdtest) and storage concepts.

Responsabilidades

• Perform performance testing for a distributed storage platform.
• Write and maintain Ansible playbooks and roles for cluster setup and health checks.
• Contribute to Celery-based task orchestration for parallel I/O workloads.
• Execute and troubleshoot benchmarks using FIO, IOR, mdtest, IO500, WARP.
• Develop Python scripts to parse results and generate metrics manifests.
• Maintain PostgreSQL results schema and Grafana dashboards.
• Assist with test reporting integration and flaky-test troubleshooting.
• Contribute new benchmark profiles (YAML workloads) under review.
• Collaborate with developers to validate fixes and performance impact.
