Job summary

Repsol is seeking a Finance intern for the Planning & Performance Management Team for Summer 2027 in The Woodlands, TX. The role targets students in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, or Engineering with finance exposure and strong analytic skills.

You will support reporting, create Power BI reports, assist with budgeting and forecasting, and contribute to live projects alongside experienced colleagues. Onsite 12-week program May–Aug 2027.

Qualifications

  • Fully authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future; OPT/CPT/F1 not allowed.
  • Undergrad (or higher) degree in process, preferably in Finance, Business, Accounting, Economics or Engineering with accounting/Finance exposure.
  • Graduation 2028–2029 encouraged; May 2027 grads considered if in a post-graduate program.
  • GPA 3.3+ (cumulative and major) with transcript acceptable (unofficial transcript ok).

Responsibilities

  • Support timely, accurate reporting and analysis for the planning team.
  • Assist with PowerPoint slides for meetings.

Repsol is seeking a Finance student to intern with the Planning & Performance Management Team during the summer of 2027. Business, Accounting, Economics, or Engineering students with functional understanding of accounting/Finance functions may also be considered.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be assigned a project within an area of interest to be supervised by a senior member of the Planning & Performance Team, to collaborate as follows:

  • Support team in providing timely, accurate and insightful reporting and analysis.
  • Assist with PowerPoint slides for various meetings.
  • Exposure to financial modeling, benchmarking analyses, budget and forecast preparation.
  • Report building in Power BI.
  • Conduct other activities, as needed.
Requirements for Consideration
  • Fully authorized to work for any employer in the US without sponsorship now or in the future. Additionally, we are not authorized for employment under OPT/CPT/F1 visa programs.
  • Undergrad (or higher) degree in process, preferably in Finance, Business, Accounting, Economics, or Engineering with functional understanding of accounting/Finance functions. Other disciplines may be considered if closely related.
  • Students with an expected graduation 2028-2029 are encouraged to apply (juniors or sophomores). May 2027 graduates may only be considered if enrolled in a post-graduate program.
  • Must have cumulative and major GPA of 3.3 or higher, to be confirmed with transcript (unofficial transcript is acceptable)
  • Must be available for a continuous 12-week period for the duration of the 2027 summer intern program, starting May 17th and ending on August 6th.
  • Preference for candidates with some internship experience, ideally within oil & gas but not required.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Strong interest in data analysis, business analytics, problem-solving, and critical thinking.
  • Ability to work with data and derive meaningful insights.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Detail-oriented, highly motivated, and organized.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks with responsibility and precision.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and analytical methods.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Willingness to ask questions and seek guidance when needed.
  • Ability to interact in a team environment.
Internship Details
  • Position will be based out of our office in The Woodlands, TX. Interns are expected onsite Monday-Friday, with the exception of 9/80's. The 9/80 schedule is optional per the manager's discretion, based on intern project scope and timeline.
  • Non-local candidates may be considered but must arrange their own travel and temporary accommodations. A summer stipend will be provided to help offset out of pocket expenses.
  • Students must be available for the full duration of the internship from May 17-Aug 6. Any personal time off must be approved by the supervisor as unpaid leave and should be noted with the recruiter as early as possible.
  • Interns will receive an hourly wage but are not eligible for benefits or paid time off. Interns will be compensated for observed company holidays.
