The role blends theory with hands‑on engineering, mechatronics, and leadership of small teams, leveraging DOE, LTS, 7-Post, and AI analytics to uncover gains others miss.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years in motorsports engineering with emphasis on vehicle dynamics and performance optimization.
  • 2+ years of at-track engineering support in a premier racing series – NASCAR Cup Series level preferred.
  • Proven experience with simulation validation and correlation (track, rig, aero).
  • Strong ability to lead DiL or test sessions and translate results into competitive performance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead independent efforts to identify and deliver measurable performance gains for race teams on a recurring basis.
  • Develop and maintain custom software tools, scripts, and workflows to accelerate performance discovery.
  • Design, construct, and execute DiL test sessions with defined test plans and optimization strategies.
  • Collaborate with 7-Post rig teams to define test plans, DOE studies, and performance investigations.
  • Mentor junior engineers and lead small teams to build technical capabilities and accountability.
