Performance & Cost Improvement Manager

Deloitte's Performance Improvement and Restructuring (PI&R) practice helps clients navigate critical business moments and transformational initiatives. We provide end-to-end support and advisory services across performance improvement, cost transformation, turnaround, restructuring, and financial and operational transformation. PI&R works with boards and C-suite executives to develop execution-ready strategies and customized financial and operational solutions that drive structural, enterprise-wide change. The team works closely with clients throughout their transformation journey, helping them navigate financial and operational challenges, improve performance, and implement practical solutions that create lasting impact.

Within PI&R, the Performance & Cost Improvement (P&CI) team helps clients identify, evaluate, and implement enterprise-wide cost reduction and margin improvement opportunities. The team works with clients seeking to improve operating performance, stabilize results, and build long-term value. P&CI supports initiatives including cost reduction, margin improvement, operating and business model transformation, and analytics-enabled performance improvement. Our work focuses on structural, enterprise-wide changes designed to support immediate performance objectives and long-term profitable growth.

Work You'll Do

As a Deloitte Manager on the Performance & Cost Improvement team you will you will be responsible for helping clients evaluate and execute initiatives that improve cost structure, cash flow, and enterprise value.

• Lead enterprise or multi-function performance improvement programs that involve operations improvement, enterprise transformation involving operating model, service delivery model (e.g., shared services / CoE), non-labor optimization, or business process reengineering focused on cost reduction
• Assessing client business issues, analyzing operational and financial data, and identifying value creation opportunities across the enterprise functions (e.g., G&A, Sales / Commercial)
• Evaluating analyses, developing actionable recommendations, and supporting implementation of business and technology solutions
• Managing day-to-day client relationships, coordinating cross-functional teams, and overseeing the quality of deliverables
• Mentoring team members and contributing to business development activities that support practice growth

PI&R defines and leads enterprise Board and C-Suite agendas for n on-distressed, underperformin g, and distressed clients to improve margins, operational and financial performance, navigate financial difficulties, and improve cashflow to fund critical transformation s.

Within PI&R, the P&CI team helps clients identify, evaluate, and implement enterprise-wid e cost reduction and margin improvement opportunities. The team works with clients seeking to improve operating performance, stabilize results, and build long-term value. P&CI supports initiatives including cost reduction, margin improvement, operating and business model t ransformation, and analytics-enab led performance improvement. Our work focuses on structural, enterprise-wid e changes designed to support immediate performance objectives and long-term profitable growth. The practice of 9,000 plus cost transformation practitioners across the globe brings decades of experience spanning a multitude of industries, with deep sector experience. The team is powered by industry-leadi ng assets and accelerators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• 6+ years of management consulting experience in operations improvement, enterprise transformation, operating and business model design, margin improvement or business process reengineering focused on cost reduction or growth strategies
• 6+ years of financial analysis experience using data from multiple sources to identify value creation opportunities
• 6+ years of experience developing models using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Visual Basic, Tableau, or similar tools
• Ability to travel 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
• Limited immigration sponsorship may be available

Preferred:

• Advanced degree (MBA)
• Experience creating executive-level presentations and client deliverables using Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Visio
• Experience using Microsoft Excel, analytics and data visualization tools to support analysis and recommendations
• Experience leading workstreams or teams in transformation and cost reduction initiatives

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $155,600 to $306,800.
