Mercyhealth is seeking a qualified coach to design and implement strength and conditioning programs for athletes, with an emphasis on safety and performance. The role includes intake, goal setting, and educating clients on training methods at Mercyhealth facilities.
The position involves designing personalized programs, demonstrating exercises, and supporting marketing and outreach to schools and the community.
Designs and implements strength and conditioning programs to improve athletes speed, endurance, strength, power and reduce the risk of injury.
20-hours per week
Shift: Based on scheduled sporting events
Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiology or related field, such as Kinesiology or Athletic Training.
Certification in Speed and Agility Instruction (ASFA), Strength and Conditioning (NSCA), Performance Enhancement (NASM), (CCT) certified personal trainer, (CSCS) Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist or FMS certification preferred.
Approved CPR or BLS certification
Strong sales and marketing experience. Ability to assist patients on and off equipment, ability to demonstrate resistance training and higher level exercises and techniques.

Occasionally climb and balance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Oversite and general direction is provided by the Manager. The coach will use independent judgment but alternatives are limited by standard practices or procedures.
This position is not responsible for supervision of other partners.
