Job summary

OrthoNebraska is offering a Performance Coach Apprentice opportunity in Omaha. This temporary role involves working alongside our Performance Coaches to learn how to deliver training services and support marketing, sales, customer service, and operations for the performance division.

The apprentice will complete about 300 hours, follow a Monday–Saturday schedule, and undertake a project that aligns with the organization’s needs.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate / equivalent required.
• Actively pursuing a degree in Exercises Science or other health related field.
• Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Performance Enhancement Specialist, or equivalent certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coach sessions for youth and adults while protecting clients from injury.
• Use coaching cues to improve training techniques.
• Develop goals with clients and implement review processes.
• Communicate client issues, needs, progress and changes during sessions.
• Perform initial musculoskeletal and performance evaluations.
• Support marketing team with campaigns.
• Assist with potential joint ventures with local businesses and sports entities.
• Maintain client schedules and follow department policies.
• Assist with cleaning and maintenance of equipment; report repairs.
• Attend scheduled company meetings.
