Elevate SPH is a on a mission to provide the world with their physical freedom. Our team of Chiropractors, Physical Therapists, Athletic Trainers, Massage therapists, and Strength and Conditioning coaches work as a team to provide customized developmental fitness, performance, and healthcare plans.
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Strength and Conditioning Coach to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in strength training, conditioning, and exercise science, with a commitment to helping clients improve their performance, enhance their physical fitness, and prevent injuries. This role involves designing and implementing effective training programs, providing instruction on proper exercise techniques, and delivering high-quality coaching to individuals and groups
Responsibilities:
- Develop personalized strength and conditioning programs tailored to the goals, abilities, and fitness levels of clients.
- Instruct and demonstrate proper exercise techniques, form, and mechanics to ensure safe and effective performance.
- Lead group strength and conditioning classes, providing motivation, guidance, and support to participants.
- Conduct fitness assessments and evaluations to track clients' progress, identify areas for improvement, and adjust training programs accordingly.
- Provide education and guidance on nutrition, recovery strategies, and lifestyle factors that impact athletic performance and overall health.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workout environment, including equipment inspection and maintenance.
- Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere by building rapport with clients, offering encouragement, and creating a supportive community.
- Stay informed about the latest research, trends, and best practices in strength and conditioning, and continually seek opportunities for professional development.
- Collaborate with other fitness professionals, such as personal trainers, physical therapists, and sports coaches, to coordinate integrated training programs and support clients' holistic wellness.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments, maintaining client records, and participating in marketing and promotional activities as needed.
Qualifications:
- Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) or equivalent credential (e.g., NASM-CPT, ACE-CPT).
- Previous experience as a strength and conditioning coach or personal trainer, preferably in a gym or fitness center setting.
- Strong knowledge of exercise physiology, biomechanics, and sports performance principles.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and motivational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals of diverse backgrounds, ages, and fitness levels.
- CPR/AED certification required (or willingness to obtain).
