Key Responsibilities
  • Delivers composite data requests from key stakeholders and is responsible for maintaining compliant presentations for various business units as well as prospective clients and current clients.
  • Performs analysis related to cash flow tracking and risk exposure for portfolio products.
  • Analyzes data related to quarterly oversight meetings, statistical analysis, outlier analysis, assets under management (AUM) reporting, and peer universe rankings.
  • Ensures the accuracy of investment-related composite data.
  • Analyzes performance criteria and risk of funds to uncover potential problems.
  • Participates in the annual verification process across the various affiliates.
  • Prepares performance reports for required corporate governance and oversight committee meetings.
  • Maintains and develops policies and methodologies, in compliance with the Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS) standards.
  • Produce recurring and ad hoc reporting to support a broad array of business requirements and use cases
  • Support reporting needs across asset classes (equity, fixed income, and alternatives) encompassing investment performance, attribution, characteristics and risk statistics
  • Calculate, review and explain performance results
  • Directly support front office investment teams by creating decision-useful reports to provide insights into their investment decisions and performance
  • Investigate anomalies in performance and find solutions to align results across platforms
  • Maintain performance measurement and analytic systems for calculation of portfolio returns and statistics
  • Serve as subject matter expert on fundamental performance concepts
  • Assist in the development, automation, and enhancement of performance reports
  • Build and maintain constructive working relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Escalate risks promptly and participate in resolution actions
  • Contribute to the upkeep of procedural documentation
  • Identify improvements to create scale, reduce risk and add value
  • Participate in cross-functional working groups and project teams
  • Support a productive, satisfying team environment consistent with Nuveen’s culture and ethics principles
Key Requirements and Technology Experience

  • University (Degree) Preferred
  • Work Experience
  • 2+ Years Required; 3+ Years Preferred
  • Physical Requirements: Sedentary Work
  • 6IC.
  • 2+ years of experience in performance calculation, attribution, reporting and analysis functions
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience using Eagle PACE, Bloomberg PORT, and/or FactSet performance calculation and reporting capabilities
  • Experience utilizing SQL, R, or Python preferred
  • CIPM Preferred
  • CFA Preferred
