Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is seeking a Per Diem X-Ray Technologist to join our imaging team in New York. This rotating weekend position requires operating x-ray equipment, obtaining diagnostic images, and assisting radiologists under supervision.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED, graduation from an approved radiology program, NYS Radiologic Technologist license and ARRT certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Graduate of an approved school of radiology.
• New York State Radiologic Technologist License required.
• ARRT certification required.
• New Graduates: Temporary license may be required; exam date must be supplied before start of employment.
• License must be obtained within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Operate x-ray equipment to make radiographs and/or computer images under radiologist supervision.
• Maintain image quality and patient safety standards in a high-volume hospital setting.
