Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• IEMA accreditation in medical radiation technology.
• ARRT eligibility with registration within 3 months of start date.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Operate X-ray equipment to produce radiographs as prescribed by physicians.
• Assist radiologists in fluoroscopic examinations and mini-special procedures.
• Perform radiographic procedures in surgery and for Level I Trauma patients.
• Prepare patients for exams; obtain history, explain procedures, and ensure comfort.
• Verify exposure factors and properly position patients for optimum film quality.
• Adhere to radiation safety, isolation techniques, and RIS/HIS duties.
• Label radiographs according to department criteria and standards.
