Fox TV Stations is seeking a Per Diem Weather Meteorologist to provide accurate forecasts across television, digital, and social platforms, supporting the weather team during vacations, schedule changes, severe weather events, and other staffing needs.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in meteorology, strong live presentation skills, and the ability to work independently under tight deadlines. AMS or NWA certification is a plus; flexible shifts include weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in meteorology or related field.
• Professional broadcast meteorology experience preferred.
• Strong forecasting knowledge and local weather pattern expertise.
• Excellent live presentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver clear weather forecasts for TV, digital, and mobile.
• Monitor weather conditions and provide timely updates during severe events.
• Produce live weather hits, newscasts, and weather cut-ins.
• Use radar, satellite data, models, and station tools.
• Communicate weather risks in a calm, audience-focused manner.
• Collaborate with news team and assignment editors.
• Participate in community and station promotional activities.
• Maintain professional on-air presence.
