Qualifications

• DVM or VMD from an accredited college and current State Veterinary License.
• DEA registration must be obtained and maintained.
• 1+ years of veterinary practice experience.
• Strong diagnostic and clinical skills; excellent surgical and dental skills (optional).
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient exams and medical work-ups.
• Communicate with clients and provide education.
• Perform surgery and diagnostic procedures as needed.
• Maintain accurate medical records.
• Handle pharmacy duties and adhere to controlled substances protocols.
• Promote teamwork and staff efficiency.
• Coordinate with Hospital Manager on priorities and hospital operations.
• Monitor daily hospital protocols from intake to discharge.
• Attend daily rounds when possible to ensure high standards.
