Qualifications

• DVM or VMD degree from an accredited college/university.
• Active State Veterinary License at time of application.
• DEA registration must be obtained and maintained.
• 1+ year(s) of experience in a veterinary practice.
• Strong diagnostic and clinical skills; capable of performing surgeries and dental procedures if needed.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work well in team settings.
• Commitment to compassionate, high‑quality veterinary care; patient‑centered.
• Ability to convey information clearly to clients; document patient records accurately.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient examinations and medical workups.
• Communicate with clients and educate on care plans.
• Participate in diagnostic procedures and surgeries as needed.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
• Handle pharmacy duties and follow controlled substance protocols.
• Promote teamwork and ensure hospital efficiency.
• Coordinate with Hospital Manager on priorities and daily operations.
• Monitor hospital protocols from intake to discharge; participate in rounds.
• Engage in practice management updates and training.
