Job summary

Carbon Health in Los Angeles is seeking a per diem Urgent Care Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our national network of clinics. You’ll deliver patient-centered urgent care, conduct evaluations, order tests, and perform procedures in a collaborative environment.

As a per diem clinician, you’ll enjoy flexible scheduling, a 401(k) match, weekend/holiday differential, and opportunities to transition to part-time or full-time roles as available.

Qualifications

• Valid, unrestricted medical license.
• Ability to treat patients of all ages.
• DOT Certification must be obtained prior to start date. Carbon will cover course and exam fees.
• BLS certification is required before first day with Carbon Health.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments, diagnoses, and treatments for urgent care conditions.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including x-rays, labs, and EKGs.
• Perform urgent care procedures such as wound closures, I&Ds, and splint applications.
• Collaborate with a network of peers and specialists to optimize patient outcomes.
• Triage and manage patients efficiently to maintain clinic flow.

Education

Master’s degree in Physician Assistant

Nurse Practitioner degree (MSN/DNP)
