Job summary

UCI Health is hiring a Cardiac Monitor Technician to provide continuous observation of patients’ cardiac rhythms, identify arrhythmias, and notify clinicians of changes. The role requires an ECG certification by time of hire and availability for weekends and rotating shifts, including evenings and nights.

Your Role on the Team

Position Summary

The Cardiac Monitor Technician provides continuous observation of the patients’ cardiac rhythm. Identifies basic arrhythmias and provides prompt notification of changes/issues to the RN or Physician. Troubleshoots false alarms and system issues. Documents values and mounts rhythm strips according to unit standards. Will also provide continuous observation of the patients who are being monitored during special procedures.

• Electrocardiography (ECG) Certification by time of hire
• Availability to work weekends and rotating shifts, including evenings, nights and holidays
