Job summary

Surgery Partners, Inc is seeking a Per Diem Certified Scrub Technician for Interventional Pain Management, Ophthalmology and possible other specialties. The Surgical Technologist (Certified) works under the supervision of physicians and/or registered nurses to assist in surgical operations.

Education requirements include graduation from an accredited surgical technologist program with CST certification (or grandfathered under state rules) and Basic Life Support.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program.
  • CST certification, or per state regulations, may be grandfathered in without certification.
  • Prefer 1–2 years clinical OR experience; may accept 0–2 years in related field.
  • Must be certified in Basic Life Support.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain medical equipment and instrumentation for procedures.
  • Set up sterile fields and prepare the operating room prior to procedures.
  • Assist surgeons and nurses during procedures; pass instruments and supplies.
  • Position patients and help with specimen handling and post-procedure transfer.
  • Maintain sterile technique and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
