Job summary

CPS, part of the Optum family, is seeking a per diem Staff Pharmacist in Geneva, OH to deliver safe, accurate pharmacy services and support daily operations.

You will verify medication orders, mentor new staff, and assist the Director in optimizing pharmacy performance, with hours Monday–Friday 8:00am–2:00pm and on‑call weekends. This hands‑on role offers growth opportunities and exposure to hospital-based pharmacy systems and workflows.

Qualifications

• PharmD or ACPE-accredited degree required or preferred.
• Active Ohio pharmacist license in good standing.
• 1+ year pharmacist experience; hospital setting preferred.
• 1+ year inpatient pharmacy experience.
• Proficiency with pharmacy systems and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, accurate pharmacy services and verify orders.
• Mentor new staff and support seamless daily operations.
• Assist Director in optimizing pharmacy performance.

As a per diem Staff Pharmacist you'll play a vital role in delivering safe, accurate, and efficient pharmacy services. This is a hands‑on opportunity to make a direct impact by ensuring the accuracy of medication orders, verifying technician‑prepared products, and safeguarding controlled substances. You'll contribute to a high‑performing team by mentoring new staff, maintaining seamless daily operations, and supporting the Director in optimizing pharmacy performance.

Pharmacy location

Location within Generations Behavioral Health - 60 West Street, Geneva, OH 44041.

Hours

Monday-Friday 8:00am to 2:00pm and Saturdays and Sundays on‑call

Required Qualifications

• ACPE-accredited pharmacy degree (PharmD preferred)
• Active Ohio state pharmacist license in good standing
• 1+ years of recent pharmacist experience, (hospital setting preferred)
• 1+ years of experience as a pharmacist in an inpatient pharmacy
• Skilled with pharmacy systems and Microsoft Office

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $44.00 to $79.00 per hour based on full‑time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
