The Speech Pathologist at UC Irvine Health provides evaluation, treatment planning, and discharge planning for speech, language, swallowing and hearing disorders across UCI Health locations.

This role requires California Board of Speech Pathology licensure or eligibility, current BLS, the ability to travel between clinics, and CCS paneling consideration for pediatric patients. We value service to diverse populations and provide comprehensive benefits.

• CCS paneling approval within one year for pediatric cases depending on CCS eligibility.

• Must be able to travel to clinics and campus offices as scheduling requires.

Responsabilidades

• Provide evaluation, treatment planning, interventions, and discharge planning for speech, language, swallowing and hearing disorders.
• Manage therapy plans and document patient progress for varied age groups.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care across UCI Health locations.
• Maintain up-to-date licensure, certifications and compliance with safety standards.

Your Role on the Team

Position Summary

The Speech Pathologist provides therapeutic management of speech, language, swallowing and hearing disorders including evaluation, treatment planning, therapeutic interventions, and discharge planning.

Required Qualifications

What It Takes to be Successful

• Speech Pathology License or proof of eligibility from California Board of Speech Pathology
• Required to float between UCI Health locations as needed
• If assigned to work with infants and children aged 0 to 21, CCS paneling/approval will be required within one year of hire if qualified for CCS paneling requirement
• Demonstrated experience providing speech therapy to a diverse group of patients
• Current BLS certification
• Ability to travel to clinics, and other campus offices as determined by patient and scheduling needs.
