Job summary

The Palms Care Center is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our per diem team in Lauderdale Lakes, Florida. The role focuses on evaluating and treating patients with communication and swallowing disorders in a skilled nursing setting.

You will collaborate with physical, occupational, and medical therapy teams, develop individualized treatment plans, and document patient progress while delivering compassionate care to diverse patient populations.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating speech and swallowing disorders.
• Ability to diagnose and treat dysphagia and communication disorders.
• Develop individualized treatment plans for diverse patient needs.
• Collaborate with therapy and medical teams for comprehensive care.
• Maintain accurate progress notes and documentation.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with communication and swallowing disorders
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to achieve patient goals
• Conduct speech-language therapy sessions, including individual and group sessions
• Collaborate with Physical, Occupational, and Medical Therapists to ensure comprehensive care
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient progress
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to patient care planning
