Job summary

Apple Rehab in Shelton, CT is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (per diem) to help residents reach their highest functional abilities through tailored therapy plans. You will collaborate with the Rehabilitation Director to assess needs, develop care plans, and deliver high‑quality Speech Therapy.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited SLP program with CCC or CFY eligibility.
• Prior experience in long-term care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Rehabilitation Director to assess, develop, organize, and implement individualized resident care programs using specialized Speech Therapy procedures.
• Efficiently manage caseload, identifying residents through screening processes, and scheduling individual or group treatments while meeting productivity expectations.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on Speech Therapy techniques for continuation post-discharge.
• Maintain adherence to PPS guidelines, ensuring accurate documentation and billing procedures.
• Provide supervision and education for therapy technicians and affiliated students under the guidance of the Rehabilitation Director.
• Ensure a safe and hygienic environment, and comply with ethical, regulatory, and professional standards.
