Job summary

Care New England Providence Center is seeking a Security Guard for extended hours on a part-time per diem basis in Providence, RI. The role focuses on safety and security of clients, staff, and visitors, enforcing policies and responding to incidents.

Shifts include weekdays until 6:00pm, weekends, and holidays; eligible for current TPC employees with at least six months of service. Requires a valid RI driver’s license and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years security guard experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license; Rhode Island Chauffeur License or ability to obtain one.
• Strong MS Word, Excel, and Outlook skills.
• Ability to respond calmly to crisis situations.
• Strong written reporting and communication skills.
• Public relations and customer service abilities.

Responsibilities

• Patrol facilities and perimeters to prevent fires, theft, and vandalism.
• Monitor security conditions and inspect doors, windows, locks.
• Respond to emergencies and support security team.
• Prepare incident reports and notes.
• Escort employees to parking areas.
• Maintain security schedules and participate in trainings.
